I purchased this laptop as a christmas gift for my 6 year old son who always wants to play on my laptop (usually when I'm trying to work). I was very pleased when we received it. It is very durable, which is a plus since it will mostly be handled by an active 6 year old. My son loves that it converts into a tablet and has a stylus pen. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the screen is smaller than I thought it would be, but it doesn't seem to bother my son at all. If you are looking for a great starter computer for a child, then I would definitely recommend this product and this vendor.

The description says it's refurbished but also indicates that it's supposed to come with Windows7 and some other software installed. The HDD had nothing on it. I installed Windows8 but, it would have been nice to just hand it to my son the day I got it. Hardware seems sturdy, at least.

This computer is just the thing for the Grandkids, the waterproof keyboard really helps with sticky fingers and split drinks. It is powerful and easily used by them for their home school. A lot of tablets can't access some of the home school sites but these computers do just fine acting as both a tablet (touch screen) and a keyboard entry required for some of these programs. Well thought out design and made with the young user in mind.
