Got this laptop from Next Generation Systems here on Amazon for $547 + $8 shipping
with no tax shipped to California on 10/14/13. Pretty good deal at time of purchase.
So this laptop does not have the 24gb ssd hard drive as in the description.
I only see the 500gb hd where Windows was installed. The screen is
not vibrant and hard to see in a sun lit room. I can't imagine using
it outside during the day as it will be impossible to see.
When first turning on this laptop, you have to create a Microsoft
account asking some info about you to use this thing and there is
no way of bypassing this. I don't see a need for this as it was a
waste of time. Also, to get started you have to create and enter a
password every time you log in. But, search and I was able to disabled
the password login.
The start up page have lots of Asus' junks that you don't really need.
The touchscreen function very well and that was my main draw.
Getting WiFi setup and installing other programs was easy and fast.
I am thinking about returning this and put more money for one with a
deeper and better resolution so I can use it outside.
Overall if you're looking for a laptop to only use in a mild room and
don't mind giving your info out, then this laptop will suit your needs.
