HP Pavilion DV6700t 15.4" Widescreen Laptop, Pentium® Dual-Core Review
The HP Pavilion DV6700t is a tough workhorse with many refined features. It has been very reliable, runs Win7 nicely with a 4GB memory upgrade I did. These are readily available on the used and refurbished market, and I believe one would be a good buy at $300 or so.
