In The Box:
* 9.25"(D) x 11.25"(W) Alienware (Hard) Mouse Pad with Alienware Logo.
* A packet with your Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Information. Alienware Product Information and a Alienware M18x R2 Resource DVD.
* A box with the Power Brick (Adapter) and cord.
* 1 Alienware M18x R2 Laptop inside a nice felt case with Alienware Logo. The laptop measures 17"(W) x 11.5"(D) x 2"(H)
This is not your average laptop, the description states that it is 17 pounds, maybe that is the total shipping weight because the actual item weight is 13.6 pounds in this configuration (so says my digital scale).
The overall length of the power cord is 150 inches (12.5 Feet) which is pretty long, the power brick is pretty big but not a problem. Battery life is yet to be determined but the manufacturer states 4 hours plus.
The fit and finish of this laptop is great, the Black Anodized Aluminium is beautiful, the palm rest has a nice felt-like feel to it. Under heavy use the left side tends to get a little warm as this is where the hard-drive is located.
The keyboard is a pleasure to type on and is fully colour customizable by the user, there is slight flex to the keys under heavy pressure but nothing to stress about, certainly not a deal breaker.
This laptop has so many great things going for it that its hard to find a con.

This is a decent gaming laptop. It is defiantly not mobile. This is so overpriced it's not even funny. The GPU is a 660m which isn't the best for high end gaming. I would look for a laptop with a 765m or higher, but this is my personal opinion. The good thing about this laptop is it can hold 2 hard drives. I forgot about this until my hard drive crashed and needed replaced. The hard drive crashing wasn't Alienware's fault. It was a virus that even most Tech people have never seen. So I had to get a new hard drive, so I went to Best Buy Geek Squad and they called me back after dropping it off asking if I wanted to add the other hard drive in or replace it.But the specs I'd recommend are;
*765m
*8GB RAM or more
*1TB Hard Drive or more, you will go through 500GB fast if you have a lot of PC games
