I bought this for my uncle, and the computer works very well with great appearance. The price has been raised, it was cheaper when I bought it. I don't think it worth the current price.

Like i said in the other post its a cadillac catera type of a laptop, you're paying a lot for the vaio name. Bought it for 400 on black friday and i would say it was a good deal for 400 NEW 3 years ago, wouldn't consider it a black friday deal but a GOOD deal. Once you throw more RAM in it (i have a total of 6GB now) it navigates very quickly. After 6 months one usb port broke, then the second one broke, then the third one broke. I initially thought i was being to forceful but i took pre caution in making sure i was inserting straight in and not crooked and not to hard, all 3 broke anyways. Something with the ALPS mouse pad on here it was HORRIBLE after about 2 months basically non responsive and the right mouse button completely stopped working and the left would work everyonce in a while. I did get the mouse and usb issue fixed under factory warranty after dealing with the infamous incredibly knowledgeable sony support team (and a supervisor or 2) for 3 hours. Intel HD 2000 graphics i want to say so in other words you can use it for really old games or ones that are not graphic heavy. I can play GTA San Andreas with it actually looking decent but i'd never try GTA 4. The HD graphics driver is decent though for video though i dont have any problems with connecting HDMI and HD video never lags, no quartz extreme however if you were wondering. The battery surprisingly still lasts about 2 hours if you turn the brightness all the way down and only browse internet. I can play a 1080P video file for about an hour on the battery with brightness down. I finally dropped it after i got the warranty work done and after 3 years I've dropped it 2 feet or so probably about 5 times, one of those recently was on concrete and it only dented the plastic. The result of wear and tear and questionably my droppings the dc jack broke after about 2 years. The plastic tube the pin goes into broke off so i had to hold the cord just right for it to charge. I replaced the DC jack today (no soldering :D) it was only 6 bucks for the jack and easiest one i've ever done. I was going to replace the fan too because of how loud and hot the bottom was getting but i just dusted it and it works perfect. For 400 NEW i'd give it 4 stars, $430 used i'd probably give it 2 maybe 3 stars. To this day i only tap because the mouse buttons barely work usually have to click 3 times on the same thing even after being replaced.

I have owned this computer for almost two years now and i have not had any problems with it at all. its still fast and fufills all of my computer needs. I wish it would have came with more ram but i cant really complain. i got the computer for 400 dollars( black friday). Still i think this laptop would be worth the money.
