The things I do like about this computer is the large screen, it is lightweight, the keyboard has the numbers on the side. The keyboard also has a nice feel to it. The keys are easy and sturdy at the same time. It has an awesome display and when I'm not having trouble with it, it is quick.

Windows 8 takes some getting used to. It will absolutely drive you crazy at first, but once you get used to it, it won't be too bad. The first thing I had to do was change the mouse so I could just tap it but not use the pinch feature because it would change screens constantly. Read the user guide which is under HP SOLUTIONS that has a ? on it. Everything has changed with window 8. It is nothing like Windows 7 or the previous windows. You will have to change your whole way of thinking. I think there are extra steps shutting down and finding things. There are many things I don't like, but some things I do like. I don't like that I can't print from the desktop. I may not have figured out why yet.

What I don't like about this particular computer is that when I download HP updates it locks up and the first one I brought back not knowing it was the updates. I downloaded them on the new one and it got really slow and disconnected my firewalls. HP says it is a virus, but I have never gotten a virus on my last 2 laptops using Norton and it only happens when I download HP updates. I spent hours on chat with HP and on the phone. I tried to put in the restore discs and that wouldn't work. Then I refreshed it, which took hours. Then I had to set everything back the way I like it. You never get it back the same. Now I have it set to not download updates from HP. Let's hope I don't have a problem, because I will be complaining. I only go on facebook, e-mail and some websites like bestbuy. I don't do a lot of web surfing and only click on websites that are Norton ok, that's why I'm really sure it isn't a virus. My daughter has a Windows 8 computer and doesn't have any of the issues I have.
