This is the closest you can get to the top of the line recent models without paying twice as much for only marginally better performance. The latest Apple MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.7 15" Mid-2012 has a geekbench result of 12367 while my Apple MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.5 15" Late 2011 scores 11000 only 12% more for twice the price!Best Deals for Apple Macbook Pro MD385LL/A 2.5GHz QUAD CORE i7, 15.4"

It is very different and different than windows which I was pretty good whiz on .Honest reviews on Apple Macbook Pro MD385LL/A 2.5GHz QUAD CORE i7, 15.4"
This one speaks for itself. Had 2.66ghz 17inch MBP 2010, and I could not find this model in 17inch so just bought a 15. By the time I realized it doesn't really matter to me that much. So, upgrade was well worth it, it can handle tasks from my previous system better, or just can handle something my previous system could not. I am now waiting on my memory upgrade.Bottom line 2.5ghz worth's it.
