I have a technical background, but this being my first tablet, I can only compare it to the mid-range & higher-end desktop PCs I regularly use. I've had it for nearly a week, and it does everything about as well as I'd hoped. The screen is good, wifi range and speed seems good, battery life seems good, the tablet seems snappy and responsive, and scrolling is fluid.
I can read many web pages, in portrait orientation, without having to zoom in. I can also read PDFs intended to be printed on US-Letter sized paper at full-page zoom, using Adobe's free reader app (much better than the included PDF reader), but some documents are a bit borderline legible. In fact, the screen resolution is the only weak spot, compared to other 7" tablets. Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7 both have slightly higher-res screens, which would be nice. I also wouldn't mind an 8" screen size, but I wasn't about to pay twice as much for a Samsung Galaxy Note II.
The only complaint I have, so far, is that I have to repeat the pairing procedure with my bluetooth keyboard, if I don't type on it for a couple hours. I don't know if that's the keyboard's fault or the tablet's, since I've only tried one bluetooth keyboard.
As for accessories, I highly recommend the amPen Stylus if, like me, you hate reading on a dirty screen. I also really like the MoKo Slim Folding Cover Case, which fits the tablet perfectly and blocks none of the ports, buttons, speakers, or camera lenses. Unfortunately, the case has no place for the stylus, so I must clip it on the spine, with the stylus hanging on the outside (exposing its tip to dirt and abrasion). The case also adds a fair amount of bulk and weight, making the tablet more awkward to hold while reading for extended periods.
This seems like a very solid product, especially at this price. As a casual user, I expect it will easily last me until it's obsolete. You cannot watch Netflix on the Lenovo A3000. There is Netflix audio, jusdt no video. lenovo tech support offered no solution. Too late to return it so will be selling it. I had the Lenovo A1000 which was Netflix compatible so this tablet is a dissappointment.
