It came with Windows 8, which was a big negative. I bought a RetroUI program which restores most of the start button, so with that add-on, Windows 8 is much better.

The machine itself seems to be flawless. It's powerful, with 8GB of memory, 64 bit 4-core AMD processor(s). The keyboard is full-size, which is good, but I don't care much for the arrangement of the keys. The arrow keys are way too small, and the delete key, along with the top row of F keys are much too small for my taste. I use them often, and I don't like having to hunt for them, because it slows me down.

There is a huge amount of room on the bottom of the laptop, so it's puzzling to me why they couldn't have made ALL of the keys a normal size.

I've also noticed that there is no light to indicate whether the caps lock is on or off. That was another completely unnecessary omission, which is a little annoying, but not major.

If I weren't a power user, probably I wouldn't even notice these issues, but I use it for publishing work, so a normal-size keyboard and keys with all associated functions that you would normally find on a PC is important to me.

All in all, a good machine; not "perfect" (which is subjective), but good.
