Look I could go on and on but I will tell you to find a better computer with this price anywhere on the web or in your local retail store, but you can't find it. When you notice that it has 4 processors, that is the end of the story and all you will ever need to know. Most computers are dual-core processors and only the really expensive ones in excess of $700 or $2100 for a MAC, you just can't beat the price. And I know some people will say, "Acer" but it really does not matter because it is a good quality laptop and if you still buy it with the warranty, which I did it is still under $500 which is really what you want with a laptop. So just look at a laptop that you think has good features and compare to this laptop and the price, and I can almost guarantee you that when you are shopping for laptops, you can not beat the featur
es with the price. It will be the best value for your money on any laptop that you will ever buy or have ever bought.

There is a newer version of this same model the 7677 i believe so if you are looking for the $399 dollar laptop then that is the one I am talking about, thats why amazon is not selling this current version anymore but just the new one with the same exact features for that $399 price

I was shopping for a quality laptop for audio production in the $400 range for about a month, and everything I found had a dual core processor, 3 or less GB of RAM, and was mostly out-of-date. Then I discovered this on pre-order, and was VERY impressed by the specs. Once I gathered the money to buy my new computer, this notebook was finally available, so I jumped on it with a quickness. Not only did Amazon.com ship on a holiday (Labor Day,) it arrived within 48 hours with the free shipping option! Once I started getting everything setup, and installed my audio production applications, I was amazed by how smoothly it performed... I still haven't managed to make it bog down in the least! This system is a beast, and by far the best deal around at this point. Anything close is $100 or more expensive, and usually lacks the features this system boasts. I am more than pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a high quality system at a low price. I give it a 100 out of 10! I ordered this computer and received it the next day.This computer puts your money where it counts on the processor. It's the only one in its price range with a quad core. Other makers take a weak processor but put in a blu-ray player, USB 3.0, finger-print reader (seriously), or something else that I don't really need. It's made of plastic, so don't expect it to feel like an HP or a Mac.
The keyboard is ok, but not great. I don't mind it enough that I would buy an external keyboard, but my girlfriend has an HP Pavilion DV6(I think) and the keyboard is much nicer it's up to you what you care about. My computer has a better processor, even though hers cost $200 more.
The screen is good as good as her HP.
I recommend buying a Logitech wireless mouse to go with it the track pad is not very big. You can find them for $20 on here and they're nice.

Hello. I just received this laptop to replace an older Acer 4810TZ that I own. So far, I'm liking it much better. It has an attractive mesh lid(black,) and the interior and keyboard is also done in a textured finish to combat fingerprints. As far as performance goes, there is no comparison. The AS552-7474 is much faster. I burned a test movie to see what difference there would be and it was considerable. The 4810TZ took about 1 and 1/2 to 3 hours to go through an average film, while this one only took about 35 minutes. It handles multitasking much better. The web cam still kind of sucks at the higher resolutions, though. It runs hotter as well, about 49%-50% Celsius overall to the 4810TZ's 38%-42% Celsius, but that is to be expected with the drastically more powerful components. The battery life is about 2 hours and 20 minutes set at "balanced." It came with an astonishingly low amount of useless software and trials, which is very nice. The amount of updates required is fairly low as well. I am not a very technically savvy user, so things like "over clock" testing is out of the question. Sorry.I will do an update of the performance in a couple of months, but average guy says "So far, so good."
UPDATE:
I've had this for several months now and it is still going strong. It is fast and much more stable than my last laptop. I put in an 8gb RAM set, so it really flies. I still recommend this laptop. Awesome computer for the money. My only gripe is that the mesh lid tends to hold dust, but oh well.
