This computer is just amazing, i had a nice Acer gaming rig i bought in 2009, with a core 2 quad q9400, with 8 gigs of RAM, and an ATI 6770 graphics card, and thought it was time to upgrade. Don't get me wrong the Desktop is still a beast, but this thing surpasses it. With the new 3rd Gen I7 processor this thing scores a whopping 7.6 on the Calculations per second scale for windows index. Graphics a 7.4, memory a 7.9(high as you can get), and of course just a 5.9 for the HDD. My desktop is full 1080p, and this is 1600x900 but you can't even tell the difference. The screen is amazing, and the fact that this sports the Nvidia GT 650m with 2gigs of DDR5 memory is just staggering. Go to notebook check and check out the game fps on this badboy of a gpu. And you also get the choice of switching to the new Intel HD 4000 gpu, which it decides for you which is best, so it's really not necessary to mess with. The 8 gigs of RAM help a lot, the keys are amazingly quiet, as is the mouse buttons, and the track pad is very smooth and user friendly.

The Beats Audio has been triple improved and sounds amazing set on default. The speakers are actually so loud you really wouldn't WANT to turn them up all the way, and the built in subwoofer built into the bottom really works. It also has a fingerprint reader, and Blu Ray player to boot. I got this on sale at SAMS for just 850$, this is the cheapest you can find it anywhere, regular price was 999$. When it first came out it was about 1299$ which it still lists for on some sites. No matter what you end up paying it's really worth it in the end. The large battery that sets it up to make it a very good desktop replacement, gives you up to 9 hours of battery life, depending on the task at hand. All the USB ports are 3.0, and it runs cool as fonzy. It's actually cold to touch at times, and temperatures never go above 40 degrees C. So if you have the money, ( i got lucky, this was my Bday present), definitely go for it. This thing is built to last, any of the people who have trouble with HP are buying the cheap ones, the more expensive ones are the way to go and beat out even Asus and Alienware on their reliability. So get this beast to game or launch a rocket if you like, whatever you throw at it, it will more than take. Not one single complaint from me about it, and that IS a surprise.

I recieved what I ordered in a timely fashion. Everything works as expected. Fast booting, doesn't seem to run hot, screen looks good, and there was no indication that this product was a refurb as opposed to brand new product. Overall, I'd buy the product again, and I'd purchase from the seller again.

Refurbished unit is a good deal at about half the price of similarly equipped new laptop models, especially with a 2GB GEFORCE GT graphics card and Intel Core i7 CPU. I like that it came with Windows 7 rather than Windows 8. Excellent graphics on a 17" screen. Two minor issues prevent me giving it 5-stars. The space bar occasionally does not give a space unless pressed firmly. There is also an issue with the wireless card which is supposed to support n-band but only operates at 54Mbps.
