As part of Lenovo's lower-end line, this has a plastic case that doesn't feel as solid as some of their other machines. But it seems solid enough, boots quickly, has a nice screen. It's primarily being used for Office documents and to watch streaming video; both work well. No issues so far. For those who are interested, I set this up to dual-boot between Windows and Ubuntu, which is working great.

If you're looking for a small notebook, this Lenovo is an exceptional value. From the Dual Core processor to the large hard drive this computer is a class act. I could not find anything I did not like about it. Buy two--they're cheap!!

When it arrived from china it was defective, with broken screen, and they refused to accept it back. In a month, the keyboard came apart. Never had a single issue with my prior dell for 5 years. I wish I knew this junk is directly from china.

Don't be fooled, Lenovo has lost the IBM quality culture and builds very cheap (not to be confused with inexpensive) computers that you cannot find replacement parts for. I bought an edge 14 0578 model in April 2011 on sale for around $550. It started having a screen backlight problem in mid 2012 and the motherboard finally failed in November 2012. This forced me back to my 2005 IBM Thinkpad Z60t that with $100 in parts was usable again. . My motherboard replacement option was to spend $185 on a used motherboard with a 14 day warranty! For that price, I could nearly buy a replacement cheap computer with another one year warranty. I owned two very solid IBM's, but I will never buy another Lenovo because they obviously liked the IBM brand but have thoroughly ruined it with low quality build and zero parts support.
