The T430s is a solid business laptop that we use as the standard developer machine, usually with an SSD for the boot/OS drive, a larger SSD or a conventional HD in the drive bay for the data disk, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and the Core i7-3520M. You cannot go wrong with this machine.
There is a slight 1-star deduction from the rating because we have had repeated problems with the Lenovo-installed Micron SSDs on several machines. They require a firmware update that Lenovo made available only recently (in June 2013). Without it, the dreaded 2100 HDD initialization error will cause you downtime when you least expect it.

I was looking for a thin and light replacement of an old T42 ThinkPad for a few months and this was the best out of box hardware configuration I could find. And it can be easily upgraded. There is a very detailed description on the seller's web site, which offered the best price.This is a great laptop and it dramatically improved everyday tasks such as Internet surfing, which was pathetically slow on the old one, which is very convenient otherwise. I would prefer to have the same old screen factor, but it seems like wide screens have become the only option even for business laptops. Also, the old Windows XP is much more convenient for me than Windows 7.
