Surprisingly, this limited my field a lot. The ThinkPad brand is synonymous with quality, and so I purchased this. I'm glad I did. This computer is sleek, and I've gotten a number of positive comments about it. The graphics is a nice bonus, and I've been able to successfully play several rounds of Starcraft 2 in full resolution (though the lowest settings).
Some things I didn't mention:
-The power brick stays pretty cool for a power brick. That's nice.
-Unfortunately, the power brick also has at least a couple of problems: The cord that goes from the brick to the wall is pretty short. It's around an arm's length long. Additionally, it very easily pulls out of the brick, which admittedly could be by design (to protect the brick in case of tripping), but seems bizarre.

Let me preface this review by saying that I have only had the x120e for about 24 hours. The short of it, is that the x120e is a fantastic laptop that should not even be mentioned when discussing or comparing, "netbooks." The x120e has handled everything I have thrown at it so far from playing back 1080p .mts videos from my Panasonic camcorder (although I had to download the Shark007 codec package, use google to find it), having 6+ firefox tabs open along side of VLC playing mp3s, and working in Microsoft word and excel at the same time. Many have even been gaming on it with Modern Warfare 2 running in the 20 fps range. Steam games like team fortress 2 run great on it. Do a search on youtube to check some of them out.As others have mentioned it might be worth upgrading the hard drive to an SSD, I might do that in a month or so, but a cheap upgrade is the ram. You can get an 8gm ram kit off amazon for $50.
And I will be honest, I am replacing a 13" Macbook air (mid 2010) that my friend wanted to buy off of me. The x120e does all I need it to do, I was even able to edit some audio in adobe audition 5.5!
Aesthetically, the x120e is a very sleek, although not flashy, machine. Yes, it is thicker than the air, by about 2.5 times, but it doesn't matter. The length and width are identical (except the batter sticks out a little).
Finally, it comes loaded with Windows 7 Pro which will be great for business folks. Windows 7 is really a great operating system and goes toe to toe with OSX.
In a few months I will come back and update the review with further thoughts.
UPDATE______
A week in and the x120e is still handling everything I throw at it. Even played some Unreal 2004 on it on high settings at 40ish FPS outputted to my asus 23" monitor.
I will say that I also bought a Lenovo Ideapad s205. It has the same components, just a slimmer design, and is more consumer friendly.

The Good:The laptop is solidly built and easy to work on. I swapped the HD for an SSD and put in 8GB in about 5 minutes total.
E-350 handles 1080p easily as long as you enable GPU acceleration.
Super light weight, runs fairly cool.
The Bad:
The keyboard is a bit cramped and I'm not a huge fan of the tracksticks that come standard on thinkpads.
Also the trackpad is a bit small for my tastes.
Overall it's a very solid machine for someone who needs a computer on the go.

As a computer science major and mostly on the move this laptop is great! Running windows I had to update some drivers for cleaner auto and video. However I am now running Ubuntu Natty 11.04 and it runs great out of the box with every driver working including the touchpad gestures, bluetooth, and graphics.The screen size is perfect for programming with an IDE like eclipse but most colleagues argue the want to see more. It is tough to read requirements for a project for a UML design because your switching back and forth but it gets the job done.
The keyboard on this laptop is amazing. After using it for 3 months I felt other keyboards and was disgusted by them.

I needed a laptop with a very small footprint for light email and memos at my desk (I recently changed offices and my main iMac desktop can't be accessed easily). I have a MacBook Air at home that I thought about using, but issues with Mac's at my university made that less desirable and I did not want to drag it back and forth every day. Getting another MB Air was not feasible cost-wise, so I looked for a lower cost alternative that had (a) a very small footprint, (b) a good to great keyboard, (c) enough power to run my programs, and (d) a much lower price than the MacBook Air. The X120e fit all of these criteria, so I ordered one here.I have had the ThinkPad for less than a week, but have been using it constantly and am VERY pleased so far. The price paid here was good (less would have been nice, but hey), and all the other attributes have worked out fine. I love the keyboard, the screen is very good, the processing power is more than adequate, and the Thinkpad has easily run all of the standard (Office 2010) and academic software (statistical packages, reference managers) I have tried. The battery life has been very good, and I am especially pleased by the WiFi reception, which is an issue in my building. (The ThinkPad gets reception where my Mavbook and iPad won't).
At this point, I really can't find any negatives. Having the TrackPoint in the middle of the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to, but the feel of the keys more than makes up for that. Aside from that (very) minor quibble, this is a real winner and my second favorite laptop (I do have to admit the MacBook Air rates #1, but for $650 less, the ThinkPad is a clear value winner)
