Bought this here because it was the "Midgrade" computer available for purchase at my college bookstore.
Works great for my school tasks.
Especially like the keyboard and wide screen
Only downsides is the lack of extra features.
Only has 2 USB ports and NO HDMI.
But I bought it for school work, and it does everything I need very fast.
Definitely worth it for school.

I have owned this computer now for 2 years and its pretty dependable, overall good for basic school work and business work. I am an Audio Engineer and primarily work in live venues but when I come home to work on some audio software this computer slows down quite a bit and isn't great at multi tasking. WHEN USING SOFTWARE. However my girlfriend uses it for Adobe products such as photo shop and In Design and it seems to work great for her. Overall good computer but I'm looking for something with some more power

Decent notebook and spec for the price. We've had the notebook for 2 weeks and it's fast and capable. The speaker volume is rather low but that's the only gripe so far.
Honest reviews on Acer Aspire AS5734Z-4512 NoteBook Intel Pentium dual-core
Received the product in a timely manner. When I tried to boot the system, received errors that the system could not boot up. Determined that the OS partition was missing. This is where not having an actual recovery CD/DVD rather than a recovery partition on the hard drive is frustratine. After about eight hours of working with the system was able to re-establish the OS partition and use the recovery partition to reload the OS. Communication with the company was by email only and time consuming. Product was a gift and ended up being very embarassing.

I don't have this computer personally, but my friend does. He loves it. He is not into gaming, but it does the job for his everyday web browsing and school tasks.
