Although it is a refurb, machine appeared and ran as new. Enough RAM, CPU and graphics for almost any application. Display looks great. Even running modern games is satisfactory (so I hear after all, this *is* for one of my sons). For $340, this is a steal. I am 26 which means I grew up with computers and I consider myself tech savvy. This computer looks nice but Windows 8 is so far from user friendly it is not funny. I have had this thing for over 6 months and play with it from time to time, but I still revert back to my 5 year old Toshiba for everyday use.Save your frustration, save your time, save your money and by something with a different platform!

This laptop has been a great blessing to my family in saving money and as a Mother's Day gift. Both affordable, transportable, and the glossy red is perfect for my mom to know that it's totally meant for her. I'm not sure if Microsoft Office came with it but I don't think it did. Either way, they thought it was brand new and I'm satisfied. firstly , was fast ship , and pakaged in a box with little protection but recieved undamaged. I especially bought this for its colors to match living room decor. looked new for being used. however , once i got going with it , found out why someone dumped it, had a virus that cost money to remove , and yet today has malware cannot seem to remove after several programs. it has pluses..it fast, good picture quality , sound , and runs quiet. very touchy pad..been times the page wiped off of the screen and had to bring it back . even with the bugs, bought a second one used , but this time made sure the dealer buying it from checked it over good or else keep it . so, they obliged and got a second one comming.promised better than the last. comes to uesed...buy at your own risk. good luck ..
