I bought my hp 2000-239dx from bestbuy for $320 i works great i watch movies on netflix, with instanly streaming hulu, hobgo, maxgo all the sites that offer movies. It burns cd's and dvd's prettty fast. I got a 8gb memory ram upgrade from amazon for 45 dollars it had 3 gb worth of ram when i bought it, but with the upgrade and i also have 2tb extrenal harddrive it runs really really fast no laging, internet pages apperar in about 2 seconds. it came with windows 7 home editon wich cost over 200 dolllars any way.. the big screen is very nice resoiulution.battery last over 4 hours . Overall this is a great laptop as is or adding in upgrades like i did. i game etc. everything. best money i have ever spent on a laptop.

I purchased this laptop for $320 at a big name electronics store.

This is my second one of these HP laptops. After opening the first one, I noticed the keyboard was mildly curved (like an ergonomic keyboard would be) except this one wasn't supposed to be like that. Many of the keys weren't working properly, so I returned it to the big box store I purchased it from and got an exchange.

Laptop #2 was much better but still had some noticable malformations on the plastic surrounding the keyboard. Within 3 months my keys were having issues. We are contacting customer support and will hopefully be able to resolve the issue.

As far as performance, this is a great little laptop for simple things like cruising the internet, using Skype (with the built in webcam), using simple photo editing software and documents/email. If you want to do computer gaming, or high-end graphics programs, you will not be happy with this laptop.

This laptop would make a great gift for a high school or college student to use for school.

Now that I've gotten used to it, It's better than I expected. Excellent computer for the money. Nothing quite like Windows 7.

It was supposed to come loaded with Microsoft Office 2010 but it didn't come with the registration key number. It's not in the box and so it looks like I'll have to purchase this program.
